History
Furtenbach was founded 1857 by Franz Erasmus von Furtenbach at Wr. Neustadt. At this time the company started with production of gum rosin, essence of turpentine, lubricants, brewer´s pich and resins. Quality products that soon spread out across the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Keen business sense ensured that the company continued to grow, even in economically tumultuous times, to become the independent and innovative company and in many areas the uncontested market leader that it is today, some 150 years later.

In the last years we invested in a new office, a new and modern production unit for coatings. We have concentrated R & D, production, service and administration on one site.
During the years 2000 and 2003 there was constructed a complete new Coating-production as well as a Conditioning area for containers. In 2004 and 2005 followed by building up a new Catalyst-production and the implementation of a commissioning centre including a cold storage. This cold warehouse guaranties that any time fresh materials can be loaded. In 2006 we build up a new administration building. A modern customer-centre with adequate training room is now available.
At the beginning of 2007 we started intensively with the construction of a new resin plant on our site. This project will originate the most modern resin plant at best available techniques
